Library Rail
This stunning classic of robust forgework shows a masterful command of iron at the anvil, with hot splits drifted through overscale tapered pickets, and a traditional mortise and tenon hot connection. A thin band of brass adds a subtle glint of gold below the mahogany cap railing. Fascia mounted corbels with hidden connections.
Award winner.

Silicone Bronze Cast Rail
Computer modeling made possible the fine details in the mold for this gothic quatrefoil with center buttoned collars. The doubled railings creates a delicate shadowbox effect which balanced the massiveness of the oversize newel posts and top rails. Patination darkened the bronze to show off the highlights and shadows.
Award winner.

A Nod to Nouveau
The juiciness of hot iron at the forge, as it curves back on itself like molten clay, and the witty transitions of dimension make this an elegant screen with lots of interesting details.

Classical with a touch of whimsy
An oval medallion, with beech leaves and looping vines, add informality to the faceted, forged pickets of a formal front entrance.

French Country Staircase
Freeform scrollwork is an old favorite when done right, and invites rosettes, forged details and a touch of gold. Properly done scrolls have the grace of the golden proportion spiral.

Classic Scroll and Collars
Two simple elements make this railing a favorite - the double scrolls that create a frieze at top and bottom, and the center collars that invite a brush of gold.

Grace Notes in Long-Line Fencing
With a sweeping view above steep drop-offs, we wanted to keep the panorama open with simple clean lines. A forged ovoid element at the lower third creates a subtle horizontal line of mass, breaking up the vertical lines. A collared radius arch below the cap rail softens the long fence line. Forged stylized botanical corner panels were placed at choice sightlines to provide a visual sense of structure.

Floating Top Rail and Tapered Pickets
Classic, hand-tapered pickets give a clean-lined railing a tailored look. The double handrail and the rail bottom horizontal float on a flattened ovoid, making this design a great choice for ironwork that is seen from below. The arched diamonds also provide breathing space to the mostly vertical design.
